Holistic Approaches to Managing Sleep Disturbances
Sleep disturbances can affect mood, anxiety, focus, energy, hormones, relationships, and overall daily functioning. At Solstice, we look beyond the symptom of “not sleeping” to better understand what may be contributing to disrupted rest, including stress, racing thoughts, trauma, anxiety, depression, hormonal changes, medication effects, lifestyle patterns, medical conditions, and sleep hygiene. Care may include medication management when appropriate, sleep-supportive routines, coping strategies, relaxation techniques, lifestyle guidance, supplement recommendations, and coordination for further evaluation when needed. We also partner with Virtuox to offer at-home sleep studies, which can help establish a baseline and screen for possible sleep-related concerns; if results suggest the need for further evaluation, we can refer patients to a sleep specialist for additional care. The goal is to help patients improve sleep quality, restore balance, and feel more grounded, rested, and supported through each season of life.
